I recently started an account here after seeing that new card packs and decks can come with the online code card to 'unlock' the cards on this game. I've not bought any pokemon cards since Neo Genesis/Discovery (Japanese only versions).

I actually surprised myself by understanding/remembering a lot from back when I played the original card game (and the GBC game XD) so.. yeah this is great fun to play.

Plus it makes me want to buy cards again heh.

This seems fun. Though, is buying cards irl the only way the get the cards online? I'd hope they would at the very least start you off with a booster and a starter deck lol.

Derp I forgot to mention this.

The decks you get (and don't need to buy real decks for) are:

- Basic Red (fire and colourless)
- Basic Blue (water and colourless)
- Basic Green (grass and colourless)

The decks you need to buy the real life deck and unlock via a code are:

Red Frenzy, Green Tornado, Blue Assault, Night Hunter, Toxic Tricks, and Power Play

I am unsure how daybreak and nightfall are unlocked.

EDIT: On the shop, i see other decks too and these I would assume are also 'buy real deck' ones. There is also a basic yellow deck which is unlocked (bulbapedia says it was for beta players though).
