Guild Wars

Post by empressdonna » Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:24 am

As I mentioned in the Guild Wars 2 thread in the general discussion, I decided to make a thread here regarding this game.

This topic includes

- Prophecies
- Factions
- Nightfall
- Eye of The North

and it will also include people that play Guild Wars 2 when it comes out.

Talk away Guild Wars Fans!

I use to play mafia-wars a year before but I got addicted to it, it became tough for me also to come out of it so all the best to other members here who are currently engaged with it.

Similar to what our guild in game does, we expect people to check PVX wiki for the builds suggested for certain areas.

Note: From experience, earlier build setups may have difficulty in later areas.

For some things we can run you through even with not optimal builds but we cannot do elite areas (as it takes a lot more co-ordination and we have only completed Fissure of Woe and that took 3 hours of work).

Sorry if this seems a little elitist, we don't mean to be, it's just from previous experience in the game with other friends we've played with before.

Bumping for info regarding the Beta Weekend Event (27th - 29th/30th april depending on timezone).

I've been playing since 7pm ish till almost 3am in the morning and apart from the lag (which was mostly due to being on a high pop server before the free server transfers) and some optimization issues (since you know, it's still a beta) it's been really rather fun.

I ran around on an Human Elementalist, doing the first two Personal Story missions, and also participating in 2 dynamic events. We also managed to visit Divinity's Reach, Lion's Arch, The Black Citadel (after a problem with the asura gates XD) and Hoelbrak (where the lag really kicked in).

It was great fun teaming up with our guildmates and Stu, learning the game as I go, even though I had a decent taste of it at Eurogamer last year.

Skills wise, I managed to get the scepter main skills for fire and water and the off hand (i forget which) skills for fire.

I look forward to playing more tomorrow and seeing what happens next.

Damn its been a while since I posted on the forums..

Anyways, I've finally been able to get me a decent computer now and I got GW2 with it, so I'll FINALLY be able to play not only GW2 at high specs, but a number of other games.

Awesome news Sorrow!

I hope the guesting system is implemented soon, so I can play with anyone not on my home server (including some of my guildies).
