Best 3rd party NES games

Postby Lasersamurai » Wed Aug 04, 2010 6:12 pm

Feel free to make a list of your favorite 3rd party NES games in this topic. My favorites would have to be Blaster Master, Contra, Castlevania, Crystalis, Megaman 3 and Bionic Commando

Final Fantasy 3(the REAL 3, not the american SNES 3), Bubble Bobble, Burger Time, and (even tho I'm terrible at them) the Megaman Series.

Personally, I'd have to say contra since it pioneered the sidescrolling platformer shooter/beat em' up. Think of it this way. Without contra, there would be no jumping down.

For me it's the Double Dragon series, the Adventures of Lolo series & Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 (3 not so much).

I have to agree on Megaman series, I love those games.

Also Contra and the sequels to the TMNT games (Hate the first one) by Konami are great as well

For me, it's Castlevania 3 hands down.

#2 is Mega Man 3/4 though. Both are great games.

Megaman 1-3 (4-6 are great games, just not on the same level as 1-3)
Contra
*shudder* Ninja Gaiden I-III
Mother would be on this list but I'm pretty sure HAL and Creatures are 2nd party developers

Uh... I almost love every 3rd party games, except the ones that made based from TV, and Movies from LJN for example. I mean I like Nightmare on Elm Street game, but not all of the rest of the games that was made.
